AKIRA SENDOH ;; Slam Dunk

Akira Sendoh, the star player and Shooting Guard of Ryonan High is called the 'Ace of Spades'. I heard some people talk about that but I never knew about it, but anyway-- hmmm~ How can one actually describe Sendoh?

Well, first, he's the easy-going, suave, subtle (wait suave and subtle almost mean the same thing! XD) type. Others would even call him a flirt since he's too friendly with anyone. You hardly see basketball players be all doki doki happy happy, right? Well, he's not that type either. He's probably somewhere in between the serious and the hyper type, so he's just plain normal. On court and off court, he's always smiling regardless of the condition he's in. Being the playmaker of the Ryonan team, he can't let himself show off any other emotion that would most likely bring the team down because they can't do anything without him. Seriously. The team relies too much on Sendoh, when it comes to scoring.

Aside from him being easy-going, he's not much of a talker, and he's got no sense of time! During the friendly match of Ryonan against Shohoku, he arrived late because he overslept. I believe he came in late during the Ryonan vs Shohoku game in the quarter finals too. I can't remember well, but I'm sure he came in late twice.

He's a dangerous player on court since he can manage to escape at least two defenders and score. He can manage to score while under pressure too. But wait... there's more! Ace or not, he's still Ryonan's lead-scorer. He plays really well and gets to astonish a lot of people. During the games too, there would be tons of recruiters in the benches and Yayoi always says that they're watching Sendoh. And maybe Rukawa too, but SENDOH. YES. You might think that he gives it all when he plays, but in fact, he only plays with 70% of his skill~

But before he became a well-respected and really good player that everyone in the Ryonan team just had to rely on him a lot, he used to love hogging the ball to himself. Taoka, Ryonan's coach compared young!Sendoh as Rukawa, who always kept the ball to himself and would not pass it to anyone. Later on though, Sendoh started to like the game as a 'group game' and turned into a well-rounded player and started passing the ball around.

After the Inter-High tournament (in which he became part of the Mythical Five), Uozomi quit the team and focused himself on his dream to become a chef and take over the family business. When he did so, he left Sendoh in charge of the team, and Koshino was promoted from a normal player to the vice-captain of the team. But Sendoh only found out about this when he came to school late.

Oh! And before I forget~ He likes to fish and eat lemons. :D;;

And I guess that's it. There's not much known about Sendoh, which is sad. But maybe that's because he's just a minor character. D:
